Northeast Tampa Neighborhood

The Northeast Tampa neighborhood is located along the Hillsborough River. It has easy access to two of the biggest roadways in the Tampa region, Interstate 4 and Interstate 275, which are only a few miles away. These roads make all of the major destinations in Tampa well within reach of residents.

Recreation is one of the biggest attributes of the Northeast Tampa area. The location of the community along the Hillsborough River means plenty of opportunities to enjoy nature. The river is home to hundreds of alligators, turtles, water fowl, and other creatures. The Hillsborough River provides excellent opportunities not only for photography and animal watching, but also for some of the best recreation Tampa has to offer. The river is filled with visitors in canoes, kayaks, and small boats throughout the year who enjoy the slow current and incredible scenery. Fishing is also popular along the river. There are also old signs from when this waterway was used for regular transportation through the region.

For golf, Rogers Park, which is located off 30th Street, is the best place in Northeast Tampa. This large course is located along the Hillsborough River and has a quality playing surface. A clubhouse with a professional shop and knowledgeable golf pros makes the course really stand out.

Entertainment in the area is also easy to find. The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino is located just off Interstate 4. This large casino is located across from the Florida State Fair Grounds and a large amphitheater. The amphitheater brings in many major musical entertainers who often stay at the hotel. Northeast Tampa residents can go out for a concert at the amphitheater, grab food at Hard Rock, enjoy the casinos, and stay at the hotel for a great night of entertainment.
