Ellard Neighborhood

The quaint, riverfront neighborhood of Ellard, in Roswell, Georgia, about 23 miles north of Atlanta, is a sight to see. This neighborhood of less than 100 elaborate homes and brilliant landscapes will take you back in time and make you long to stay forever. Ellard is located on 168 acres, on one of the few remaining riverfront areas in north Fulton County. The zip code is 30022.

The homes are exact architectural replications of historic homes in Savannah, Charleston, and Mobile. The architecture ranges from Italian to Victorian, but each house is perfected down to the last detail. Whether it is sweeping staircases, 21-foot ceilings, arched windows, French doors, or marble floors, each house is elegant and charming and holds an abundance of character and class. The lots themselves are fairly small, but they sit on prime pieces of real estate, overlooking serene wooded lots or the Chattahoochee River.

The river itself offers fishing, rafting, tubing, and swimming, as well as a beautiful backdrop for the community. Throughout the development, there are many parks, along with more than 50 acres of open space that has been placed in a permanent conservation by the developer so that it will remain preserved for years to come. The community is close-knit and friendly – a place where everyone knows your name. It is gated to provide an extra sense of security and peace to those that live here.

Residents of Ellard can walk to Ellard Village and Mercantile Exchange, which offer everything from dry cleaning, to ice cream, fine dining and sushi, to couture fashion and chiropractic services.

Although residents may never want to leave this pristine neighborhood, the community is conveniently located near many shopping centers and golf courses. Just to the south of Ellard lie Spalding Place Shopping Center and River Exchange Shopping Center. To the north you’ll find Holcomb Corners Shopping Center and Rivermont Square Shopping Center. To the west of Ellard is Horshoe Bend Golf Course and Country Club, and to the north is Rivermont Golf Course.
