Glen Abbey Neighborhood

Glen Abbey is a prestigious and sought-after neighborhood in Alpharetta, Georgia. Planned by Jim Cowart, Glen Abbey features luxury brick and stucco homes with three car garages that are situated on large lots and wide streets. The community has many amenities and is very family-friendly. Glen Abbey is best accessed from Exits 9 and 10 on Georgia Highway 400.

Glen Abbey is an executive swim and tennis community. It features a club house with a full kitchen, spacious social hall with a fireplace, and a workout room. The facility also has a basketball court, walking trail, and two children’s playgrounds.

The swim facility includes a children’s splash park and a pool with a swim team called the Glen Abbey Gators. The tennis facility features tennis pros on staff and 11 lighted tennis courts. The club also boasts many championship tennis teams.

There are also many other recreational facilities in the area. It is only a short ride to Big Creek Greenway, which features 13.5 of hiking and biking trails through Roswell, Alpharetta and Forsyth County. Big Creek Greenway boasts abundant wildlife, scenic trails, and vistas. The Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area is only minutes away and features hiking, fishing, rafting, canoeing, kayaking, and picnicking. Area golf courses include Horseshoe Bend Golf Course, Country Club of Roswell, and Country Club of the South. Many residents take advantage of the North Georgia Mountains and Lake Lanier which are only an hour away. Additionally, a short drive down Highway 400 makes some of Atlanta’s best shopping and favorite attractions easily available.

Favorite neighborhood merchants include Saddle Brook Shopping Area, the Jerusalem Bakery, Pepperoni’s Tavern, Stix Sushi Bar, Luciano’s Ristorante Italiano, and more.

Neighborhood schools include New Prospect Elementary, Ocee Elementary, Webb Bridge Middle School, Alpharetta High School, and the Goddard School. Georgia Perimeter College is also located nearby.
