Northpoint Commons Neighborhood
North Point Commons is a neighborhood in Alpharetta, Georgia. Alpharetta is located northeast of the center of Atlanta. For commuters to Atlanta, there is a MARTA bus that comes to route 85 between Alpharetta and Roswell.
North Point Commons is primarily a commercial area. It is located south of Turner McDonald Parkway and north of Mansell Road. Within the neighborhood is the Northpoint Market Shopping Center and North Point Mall.
The Big Creek Greenway runs through this neighborhood. The total length is over 6 miles, and it is 12 feet wide. The base is concrete but it runs through the forests as much as possible. It is a great place for walking, jogging, roller blading, and biking. There are rules for using the greenway, and it is also a great place to walk your dog on a leash.
North Point Mall features many of the large retailers in the area. Shopping is available at Sears, Dillard’s, JC Penney’s, and Macy’s. Smaller national retailers in the mall include Abercrombie and Fitch, Aeropostale, J. Crew, Ann Taylor, Kay Jewelers, and Aveda, just to name a few. There are many types of eateries in the mall, as well, The Cheesecake Factory, California Bistro Kitchen, and also the usual food court with the addition of a carousel can be found at North Point Mall.
Outside the Mall in the area there are a variety of other stores including Best Buy, American Girl Place, Target and Joanne Fabrics, and also additional places to eat, including Bahama Breezes. There are also many hotel choices including Embassy Suites and Hilton Garden Inn.
