Brookview Heights Neighborhood

Brookview Heights is a neighborhood in Atlanta, Ga., that is situated along the eastern side of Interstate 75 to the north of Collier Road. This neighborhood is heavily wooded and made up of single-family wood-tone homes. Trees line virtually every available space along the streets, providing excellent cover from the sometimes intense Georgia sun and giving the neighborhood a feeling of peace and tranquility.

On the other side of interstate 75 off of Collier Road is one of the more unique recreation destinations that is growing in popularity in the area. The Atlanta Rocks Indoor Climbing Gym is a large gym that is filled with rock climbing walls. The walls are made to create a wide variety of challenges for all experience levels. Atlanta Rocks is popular with many different age groups, and it is common for families to make the trip for a day of rock climbing adventure.

Also in the area is the Cross Creek Golf Club, located off of Cross Creek Parkway. This somewhat modest club provides an excellent game of golf for all skill levels. The club also has a swimming pool that is used for lap swimming, water aerobics, and swim lessons. Tennis courts at the club provide a great place for practicing individual skills, league play, and tournaments. For a larger club, the Bobby Jones Golf Course is off of Northside Drive a little over a mile to the east.

For area walkers, runners, and cyclists, the roads surrounding the Brookview Heights area are excellent for exercise. The heavily residential area is light in traffic, and it is common to find couples out walking their dogs and even children playing in the streets here.
