Darien, GA Apartments for Rent

Live oaks dripping with Spanish moss open up to coastal marshlands rich with native wildlife. Beyond, barrier islands (often only reached by ferry boat) offer pristine, untouched beaches with endless views. The Georgia coast is both beautiful and unique, and Darien (Georgia’s second oldest city, founded in 1736) offers coastal living steeped in history.

Located 21 miles north of Brunswick, Darien is halfway between Jacksonville, Florida (one hour south) and Savannah, Georgia (one hour north). Darien’s coastline and five rivers allow residents and visitors many outdoor activities, including waterskiing, boating, fishing, kayaking, river tours, and more. Take a ferry to Sapelo Island and enjoy the beaches and lighthouse.

Historic sites include Fort King George (the oldest English fort remaining on Georgia’s coast, it operated from 1721-1736) and Butler Plantation, one of the largest plantations in the South.

Coastal living with major metro areas just a short distance away makes Darien a popular place for apartment renting.
