East End Neighborhood

East End is an affluent neighborhood of Boise, Idaho.

The neighborhood occupies 4.064 square miles and is located northwest of Warm Springs Mesa. Houses, townhouses, and apartments are housing choices in the community.

Fort Boise Park, Park Boulevard, Shaw Mountain Road, East Table Rock Road, and Warm Springs Avenue border East End.

Historic Warm Springs Avenue is a major street in the area. The tree-lined street has mansions dating back to the late 1800s. The private homes were the first in the United States to be heated by geothermal power. Boise’s natural hot springs heat most of the homes in this area.

East End is near Highways 26, 84 and 184. Its location is close to the Boise River and the Boise Foothills for family-friendly outdoor activities.

The neighborhood is close to the Boise Greenbelt. The greenbelt is a long trail for walking, running, and bicycling that follows the Boise River through the city. The Boise Greenbelt is East End’s link to destinations including Julia Davis Park, the Idaho Shakespeare Festival, and Warm Springs Golf Course.

The 89-acre Julia Davis Park is home to the Boise Art Museum, Idaho Historical Museum, and Idaho Black History Museum. It also contains Zoo Boise and the Discovery Center of Idaho.

The Idaho Shakespeare Festival has an outdoor amphitheater and a habitat reserve at the William Shakespeare Park, located along the Boise River. The festival provides quality educational theater to entertain and educate.

The Warm Springs Golf Course is a public, 18-hole championship golf course located on the banks of the Boise River. The well-landscaped golf course has scenic views of the Boise foothills.
