Bordered by Franklin Road, North Five Mile Road, highway 184 and 84, the neighborhood covers 1.116 square miles. The residential neighborhood is mostly owner occupied. Pedestrian-friendly Downtown Boise is near Maple Grove-Franklin. Residents and tourists can walk to the restaurants, shops, and movie theaters on 8th Street. The Boise Capitol Area District is in Downtown Boise, where visitors may tour the Idaho State Capitol. The Egyptian Theater, also known as the Ada Theater, is designed to look like King Tut’s tomb. Today, the theater shows popular movies. Julia Davis Park has three museums within its borders, but it also is home to the Boise Trolley Tours. Tourists board an open-air trolley car for tours of historic sites in Boise.
