Osceola, IA Apartments for Rent

Located 50 miles south of Des Moines, Osceola is a small, family-oriented Iowa town. Located on West Lake, it is home to fishing contests and big celebrations, festivals, and a casino boat called the USS Osceola.

East Lake Park is the city’s gathering place, featuring a playground and several picnic shelters. Pitch horseshoes or find a shady spot along the lake to fish. Or just enjoy watching the trumpeter swans as they swim gracefully across the lake.

Osceola hosts a huge 4th of July celebration every year, complete with carnival, live entertainment, and a parade. There are also community plays and festivals held in the town square.

Established in 1851, Osceola’s small-town charm is reflected in the historical homes and businesses. Mixed with the old, there’s a new aquatic park and a 132-foot cowboy statue, located outside Terrible’s Lakeside Casino Resort.

With Des Moines a short commute away, Osceola provides apartments to rent that are far enough from the metro area for that rural Midwestern charm, yet close enough to enjoy all the bustling downtown area has to offer.
