Bryan Station Neighborhood

Bryan Station is a neighborhood in Lexington, Kentucky. The borders of the neighborhood are East New Circle Road to the southwest, the I-64 to the northeast, the far border of Kenawood Park on the southeast and Old Paris Road on the northwest. The Bryan Station Monument is not located within the Bryan Station neighborhood.

Bryan Station is a very interesting neighborhood. There are many different streets and they have many different architectural styles of homes. The yards are spacious and they have mature trees and shrubs. Some streets are narrow with no sidewalks, some are a boulevard style with a green median and some are wider with sidewalks. Along some of the border streets there are areas that are commercial.

Bryan Station Senior High School was opened in 1958 and the new building was dedicated in 2007. The school athletic team is called the ‘Defenders” after the brave people who defended Lexington. The school has almost 2000 students with a very diverse population. There are two elementary schools located within the neighborhood, Northern Elementary School and Deep Springs Elementary School.

There are some stores and restaurants in the neighborhood. On East New Circle Road there is a Goodwill Store, CVS Pharmacy, Golden Corral Buffet and Grill, Taco Bell and White Castle. There is also a Kroger Grocery on Bryan Station Road.

There are two parks in the Bryan Station neighborhood. Constitution Park is 26 acres of greenery, with baseball and football fields, basketball and tennis courts, an Olympic swimming pool and restrooms. There is also a playground and three quarters of a mile of paved trails. Kenawood Park is 10.7 acres. It has baseball fields, a basketball court, open fields, restrooms, shelters and a playground.
