This relatively young, southeast Lexington community is a part of Fayette County in zip code 40502. Likewise, it is in the Fayette County School District. Lansdowne is situated between New Circle Road and Tates Creek Road. Lansdowne Drive bisects it.

Public parks are plentiful in this area. Residents enjoy checking out Zandale Park for a jog or family picnic amongst its wide, green fields. Alternatively, another popular local park is the Lansdowne Merrick Park. Here, residents may enjoy a baseball field, a basketball court, a soccer field, a playground, tennis and volleyball courts, and a fabulous 1.5-mile paved walking trail.

Shopping and dining selections are practically endless. The fashionable Lansdowne Shopping Center is within walking distance of many Lansdowne Homes. Also, Fayette Mall, the University of Kentucky, and New Circle Road are just a short drive away. Fayette Mall is the largest mall in Kentucky. Popular stores such as Macy’s, Dillard’s, Sears, and J.C. Penney anchor it. Many of the country’s best-known specialty shops are also located here, along with well-known eateries like P.F. Chang’s and The Olive Garden.

Many Lansdowne residents belong to the Signature Club of Lansdowne. This historic club was founded in 1958 and is Lexington’s oldest membership club. It has a magnificent clubhouse with a grand ballroom, a large pool with water slides, tennis, basketball and volleyball courts, and a state-of-the-art fitness center, complete with steam rooms and saunas. The club even has a bar and grille that is open to the public.
