Rolling Hills is a neighborhood in eastern Louisville, within Jefferson County. It is situated roughly 13 miles – 20 minutes – from the downtown area and roughly two miles south of where Interstates 71 and 265 intersect. The Rolling Hills community is convenient to several area amenities. Within walking distance to the east, just outside of neighborhood bounds, is the E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park. Other amenities include a swimming pool, BMX track, tennis courts, one-mile fitness trail, and recreation programs.

Immediately south of the state park, within a mile of Rolling Hills, is Central State Hospital. This medical facility not only provides residents with easy access to health care, but is a major area employer as well.

For those residents who can afford membership dues, this private country club offers a variety of top-notch amenities in addition to a fine 18-hole golf course. The Owl Creek Country Club golf courses are another option, situated about two miles east of the Rolling Hills neighborhood.

For nearby shopping, Rolling Hills residents head a few miles southwest to the intersection of U.S. Highway 60 and I-264. At least two major shopping centers can be found there, the St. Matthews Mall and the Oxmoor Center.

Higher-education options within a few miles south of Rolling Hills include the Kentucky Military Institute and the Isaac Shelby Campus of the University of Louisville.
