It is bounded on the north by Taylorsville Road/State Highway 155 and on the south by Bardstown Road and U.S. Highways 31E and 150. On the west, the boundaries are roughly created by Tennyson and Lowell Avenues. The eastern boundaries are less conspicuous, but might be considered Byron Avenue and Tyler Lane. Strathmoor Village encompasses the 40205 zip code area and is part of Jefferson County. Area communities include Seneca Gardens, Kingsley, Strathmoor Manor, and Highlands Douglas.
