Our heating system has one thermostat for the entire apartment building, which just means you can crack a window if it gets too hot on the upper floors. We provide basics for cooking, including pots, pans, mugs, cups, dishes, and bowls, but we do not provide salt, pepper, or oil. This apartment is located on the southeastern border of the Back Bay neighborhood, bordering the South End and just across Massachusetts Avenue from Northeastern University. This little micro-neighborhood is 8 blocks east to west, and its boundaries are Huntington Avenue, Copley Place, the Southwest Corridor Park, and Massachusetts Avenue. The area was formed during a large-scale reclamation of Boston marsh lands back in the early nineteenth century. The area is central to restaurants, coffee shops, and bars, but still has a safe, quiet residential feel. There are quiet areas for reading, walking a dog, or playing tennis and basketball, or relaxing on the lawns at the Southwest Corridor Park.
