Broadway Neighborhood
The neighborhood known as Broadway is located within the city of Crystal, Minnesota, a suburb just to the northwest of downtown Minneapolis. This community lies to the west of West Broadway and to the east of Winnetka Avenue.
Houses here are small and built primarily in the 1950s and 1960s. Home prices are very affordable, averaging around $100,000. Just west of Broadway, senior living at St. Therese of New Hope offers excellent care for the elderly. Apartment-living communities are also plentiful nearby for those who would like to enjoy worry-free living.
The Broadway neighborhood is located within Robbinsdale Area School District. The district operates nine elementary schools, three middle schools, and two high schools in the area.
Crystal Airport is just to the west of Broadway. This is a small general aviation airport.
Parks in the area for residents to enjoy include; Dorothy Mary Park, Lions Park, Elm Grove Park, and Becker Park. Becker Park, one of the larger parks in the Broadway area, is just to the southeast. This park offers basketball, horseshoe, tennis courts, a softball field, walking paths, and a playground. It also has a performance chalet which hosts Crystal’s summer series of free concerts. Nearby Meadow Lake offers fishing and other outdoor and water recreation.
New Hope Golf Course is located just to the west of Broadway on the west side of Winnetka Avenue. This public, nine-hole, par three course is beautifully maintained and offers a fun golfing experience for any level of golfer, from the beginner to the more experienced. The course features an air-conditioned club house with a pro shop and snack bar. This course is great for people who want to get out and play a few holes after work or on a Saturday morning, but don’t have time for an 18-hole game.
