Columbia Park Neighborhood

Columbia Park is a neighborhood in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The neighborhood is located along St Anthony parkway to the east of the Mississippi River. The area is known for being located in a major industrial section of town. There are numerous container yards, warehouses, and manufacturers within a few miles of the neighborhood, providing many of the jobs throughout the region.

One of the biggest draws to the Columbia Park area is Columbia Park itself. The park has many different amenities, including tennis courts, a large playground, a multiple purpose field for soccer and football, and, of course, the Columbia Park Golf Course. This large golf course is quite popular in the area, providing quality golf on a well maintained course. There is a clubhouse with knowledgeable golf professionals who are able to assist golfers with their game and answer questions about the course. For other golf options, there are several other courses located a little over a mile to the southeast of the neighborhood.

The closest place for shopping in the area is located about a mile to the southeast. Near the corner of County Road 88 and Stinson Boulevard are several different retailers, including Target, Office Max, and The Home Deport, as well as popular quick service restaurants including Taco Bell, McDonald’s, and Burger King. The area is also home to Honeywell Aerospace, which is a major employer in the region.

Next to the Honeywell Aerospace facility is the Minneapolis Diagonal Trail. This trail provides miles of exercise for the more active Minneapolis residents. The trail goes throughout the area connecting many parks and passing by forests and waterways, providing an excellent opportunity for walkers, runners, and cyclists to see the area while getting in a good workout.
