The Capitol neighborhood has a ZIP code of 55103 and lies within Ramsey County.

The Minnesota Supreme Court Building is also located nearby, off Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. The Capitol neighborhood is close to medical centers, with Regions Hospital, Healtheast Care-Bethesda Hospital, and United Hospital all in the vicinity.

Several major roadways run through the area, most notably Interstate 94 and US Highways 12 and 52. Just on the other side of these major roadways, within a few miles of the Capitol neighborhood, are many of the city’s most popular cultural and educational attractions. Capitol residents are within minutes of the Minnesota History Center, the Science Museum of Minnesota, the Saint Paul Central Library, and the Minnesota Children’s Museum.

For various shows and sporting events, neighborhood residents can frequent the Xcel Energy Center, the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts, the Fitzgerald Theatre, and the St. Paul River Centre. The nearby Landmark Center offers both performances and museum exhibits. This riverfront area also has several hotels, eateries, and churches.

There are a variety of area attractions to keep Capitol residents busy every weekend. The major roadways that pass through the area also easily connect residents with everything else that the Twin Cities area has to offer.

For outdoor fun in the immediate vicinity of Capitol, residents can enjoy Scheffer Playground, at 237 Thomas Avenue, and Valley Playground, off Jackson Street.
