Energy Park Neighborhood
Energy Park Drive is a neighborhood in St. Paul, Minnesota. The neighborhood is located off of Energy Park Drive south of Jessamine Avenue and east of Snelling Avenue.
Located to the west of Energy Park is the St. Paul Saints baseball complex. The St. Paul Saints is a local baseball team that has a great history of successful appearances to the post season. The semi-professional team is well known throughout the area and enjoys regular attendance by area residents. The games are extremely popular with area youth league teams.
North of Energy Park is the Como Park Zoo and Conservatory. This popular park is located just off of Lake Como. The zoo itself has a number of exotic animals including flamingos, penguins, monkeys, zebras, and many of the most popular and most recognizable animals from around the world. The conservatory has numerous gardens that make the area popular with nature lovers. There is also a carousel, miniature golf, athletic fields, swimming pools, and even a wide selection of art that has been donated to the park. The park is also a popular place for area walkers, runners, and cyclists looking to get a little exercise.
North of the Como Park Zoo and Conservatory is Como Golf Course. This massive course overlooks Como Park and Lake Como providing some absolutely wonderful scenic views while golfing. The course itself is well maintained with a small clubhouse. The clubhouse has staff who are able to assist with tips and tricks about the course, as well as provide basic assistance with the game of golf in general.
For area shopping, many travel a few miles to the south to Midway Marketplace off of University Avenue. This is the location for several large retailers including Wal-Mart, Super Target, and Borders. There are also several restaurants in the area that are popular with area residents.
