The area is known for excellent travel on the several major roadways nearby and also for entertainment, with many major venues within a few miles.

One of the biggest venues is located less than a mile to the west. The Xcel Energy Center is a large venue that is home to the professional hockey team, the Minnesota Wild, and the professional lacrosse team, the Minnesota Swarm. The center is also host to many other sporting events, major shows, general events, and, of course, large national name concerts.

Next to the Xcel Energy Center is the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts off Kellogg Boulevard. This popular venue is a major destination for those interested in the arts. Major theatrical and musical performances can be seen here throughout the year.

Also off Kellogg Boulevard is the Minnesota History Center. This great attraction is a fun place to learn about history for visitors of all ages. The center also has celebrations and events including Kwanzaa celebrations, Christmas, and more.

One of the most popular attractions to the area is the Minnesota State Capitol Building, located within walking distance to the north.
