Byram, MS Apartments for Rent

Byram first became a city in 1870. But the town suffered during the Great Depression and eventually surrendered its township. It became a census-designated community, a southern suburb of Jackson, Mississippi. In 2009, Byram once again incorporated. Today, Byram is a growing, popular suburban city with plenty to offer those looking for Jackson apartments.

Byram is just minutes from Downtown Jackson, Jackson State University, and Jackson Square Shopping Center. Byram is a beautiful city, dotted with lakes and parks. The Pearl River borders the city, and one of Byram’s attractions in the Swinging Bridge, a suspension bridge built in 1905. Today, it is only open to foot traffic and is a beautiful historical landmark.
