The Broadway Farms neighborhood is due west from downtown Columbia. This Missouri community consists of modern one- and two-story homes on winding roads and on gently rolling terrain. While some of the backyards are wooded, many of the trees in front of the homes are still young. The lots themselves are attractively landscaped.

Not far to the west is Sugar Branch, a small grass airfield. Stadium Boulevard, with access to the campus of the University of Missouri, lies just to the east of Broadway Farms.

Russell Boulevard Elementary School, Fairview Elementary School, Smithton Middle School, and West Junior High School are among the schools serving the community. Also nearby are a Kindercare Learning Center and a Health Occupations Center.

The University of Missouri, often called “Mizzou,” was the first established university west of the Mississippi River and the first state university to be created in the Louisiana Purchase territory. The university is considered to be a top-tier academic institution and is noted for its contributions to research and for its journalism program.

Restaurants close to Broadway Farms include the Rio Grande Mexican Restaurant, Mandarin House, and Truman’s Bar and Grill.

The A.L. Gustin Golf Course is on the western edge of the campus of the University of Missouri and is open to the public. It is the annual host of the Show Me State Games and the Phil Cotton Invitational, an amateur golf event.

Some of the places where Broadway Farms residents can catch a first-run movie are the Goodrich Forum 8, Summit Plaza Theatre, and Hollywood–Stadium 14.
