Barry Harbour Neighborhood

Barry Harbour, also spelled Barry Harbor, is a community of single-family homes in the Northland area of Kansas City, Missouri. It was established in 1979, on the south shore of a small private lake. Barry Harbour is a family-friendly neighborhood, with annual neighborhood picnics, garage sales, and golf tournaments.

Now much larger than the original development, Barry Harbour is considered by Kansas City Focus to be bordered on the north by Northwest Barry Road, on the east by Arrowhead Trafficway and Baughman Road, on the south by Northwest Sixty-Eighth Street, and on the west by Line Creek. The zip code for Barry Harbour is 64151.

The homes of Barry Harbour are of varied styles, with areas of Tudor Revival and Mediterranean homes predominating. Sweeping, uninterrupted lawns are a feature of Barry Harbour, as are stands of well-tended shade trees and walking paths that traverse the rolling terrain. A small cemetery is located in the northeast corner of the Barry Harbour area.

For outdoor exercise, well-kept paths around the local lake and trails beside Line Creek make Barry Harbour a very walkable neighborhood. Tiffany Greens and Staley Farms are nearby golf courses.

An extensive shopping area clusters just outside the northeast corner of Barry Harbour at an easy walking distance. Metro North Mall includes major national retailers, restaurants, and entertainment. A Target and a Best Buy are just across the street from the mall.

Commuters can take Arrowhead Trafficway into Kansas City, or the I-29 to the Kansas City International Airport, about six miles away.

Barry Harbour is a tranquil, family-oriented neighborhood that spreads out in a beautiful section of the Northland area of Kansas City. It is a welcoming area to come home to, as well as a pleasant place to raise a family.
