Terrace Lake Gardens Neighborhood

The Terrace Lake Gardens community is located off State Route 71 on the southern outskirts of Kansas City, Missouri. It is situated just to the north of Kernoodles Park and is made up primarily of small- to medium-sized ranch homes. There is a semi-rural feel to the neighborhood, which contains lots of trees.

Not far to the south of the Terrace Lake Gardens community is the Richards-Gebaur Air Force Base. There are several schools in the area, including the Islamic Universal Academy. Longview Community College, Heritage College and the University of Phoenix-Kansas City are also nearby.

For residents looking for some world-famous Kansas City-style barbecue, one of the top places in all of Kansas City is Jack Stack Barbecue-Martin City. Golf enthusiasts will love this neighborhood, as there are a lot of great courses nearby. They can hone their golfing skills at the Hillcrest Country Club, Deer Creek Golf Club, Mission Hills Country Club, River Oaks Golf Club, and others near the neighborhood.

Terrace Lake Gardens residents enjoy visiting the Mahaffie Stop and Farm, where they can look around the Heritage Center or take a ride in a genuine stagecoach. Also nearby is the Harry S Truman National Historic Site.

Also nearby is Kernoodles Park, which is a heavily wooded area that features small lakes and dirt roads. Residents can drive north on State Route 71 to downtown Kansas City to enjoy exciting nightlife, fine dining, live theater, museums, and casinos. Kansas City is also the home of the Kansas City Royals and the Kansas City Chiefs.
