South of the Columbus Square and Saint Louis Place neighborhoods is Carr Square in the 63106 zip code of Saint Louis, Missouri. Carr Square is west of Interstate 70 and north of Interstate 64. Its northern boundary is Cass Avenue, the southern is Cole Street. North Tucker Boulevard and North 13th Street border Carr Square on the east with North Jefferson Avenue on the west.
Carr Square is a walkable neighborhood close to schools, parks, shopping, and public transportation. The Saint Louis Metro bus system has more than 70 routes with several including the Number 41, running through the Carr Square neighborhood.
The neighborhood of Carr Square is home to local parks including Murphy Park, DeSoto Park, and Carr Square Park. Murphy Park spans about ten acres and has both basketball and volleyball courts as well as a playground. DeSoto Park on 20th and Carr Streets is larger with two softball fields and a soccer field. William C. Carr presented the smaller Carr Square Park on Cole Street and Selby Place to the city in 1842. It features a softball field and basketball court.
At 701 North 15th Street, in Carr Square, is the City Museum. Located in the former International Shoe Company, the museum opened in 1997. A creation of artist Bob Cassilly, City Museum uses found objects to create one-of-a-kind exhibits and interactive attractions. It is home to the World Aquarium and the world’s largest pencil. In addition, the unique living spaces of the Loft @ City Museum is located on the building’s fifth floor.

Carr Square is centrally located with metropolitan Saint Louis, just two miles from the Business District and six miles to the nationally renowned Saint Louis Zoo.
