Marlborough Neighborhood

Marlborough is a small, densely populated community in St. Louis that’s made up of both businesses and homes. Its less than one-quarter square mile of area is home to a population of about 2,200 residents. It was first incorporated in 1944, and is officially referred to as a village.

Bill Boje’s Sunset Lanes, a popular bowling alley for the greater area, is located here. Other neighborhood business include chains like Jack in the Box, White Castle, and Papa John’s Pizza. Mom-and-pops include Happy Joe’s Pizza & Ice Cream and Dingho Restaurant.

Several medical facilities are within a 3-mile radius of Marlborough: Select Specialty Hospital, Forest Park Hospital, and SSM Rehab Institute. The Missouri Baptist Cancer Center is four miles west of the neighborhood, while St. Anthony’s Medical Center is five miles southwest.

Blackburn Park is less than a mile northwest of the community. It has a playground, two ball fields, and tennis courts. Webster Groves Recreation Complex is a mile to the northwest. Willmore Park, with its picturesque and open parkland, is two miles to the east. Lakewood Park Cemetery, which welcomes respectful walkers, is a little over a mile to the east.

Cultural attractions that bring people from all over the greater area abound near and within Marlborough. The Ulysses S. Grant National Historic Site is a mile and a half southwest of the village. May Gallery, an art gallery and museum, is a mile and a half to the north. The St. Louis Children’s Museum is less than three miles west of Marlborough.
