Warson Woods Neighborhood

Warson Woods was incorporated in 1936. This community has a rich history and is currently divided up into four wards. The area has a thriving business district, its own police force and several schools including public and private. The community has numerous homes, is dotted with trees and offers open space as well. The Warson Woods neighborhood is bordered by Manchester Road.

The Missouri Department of Conservation designated Warson Woods as a National Tree City. The community is ideal for those who love to walk as there are a number of wide sidewalks. There are plenty of small shops for window shopping or to stop for a quick lunch or cup of coffee, and the large trees provide great shade on hot afternoons.

Those interested in family activities can take advantage of the three parks in the area, Dreher Park, Sundial Park and Royal Oaks Park which provide a variety of playgrounds, picnic areas, hiking areas, tennis courts, places to just relax and read a good book, as well as memorials including a Korean War Memorial.

The Warson Woods business area offers variety including florists, banks, furniture stores and even an antiques area. Public schools include Tillman Elementary (part of the Kirkwood School District), and Hudson Elementary and Steger Sixth Grade Center which are part of the Webster School District. Middle Schools include North Kirkwood Middle and Hixson Junior High School which is located in Rock Hill. High School students attend either Kirkwood or Webster Groves High School. There are also numerous private schools in this area.
