Southern Hills Neighborhood

One great reason why the residents of Southern Hills love living in Springfield is its hometown hospitality. The neighborhood is very friendly and family-oriented. This Missouri community has lovely single-family homes and apartment complexes.

Southern Hills Swim Club is a facility that provides swimming and tennis lessons to members of the community. The Meador Park Softball Complex is a source of outdoor fun for the whole family. One lighted baseball field, five lighted softball fields, four lighted tennis courts, a swimming pool, a picnic area with grills and restrooms, and a playground for the kids are all a part of the complex.

Fantastic shopping is another amenity available to Southern Hills residents. The Southern Hills Shopping Center provides shopping at discount stores, fast-food restaurants, and businesses, while Primrose Market Place has larger stores such as the JCPenney Home Furnishings Store, Shoe Carnival, Kirkland, and various specialty shops. Battlefield Mall, the largest mall in the Springfield area, has high-end department stores.

Juanita K. Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts is located on the Missouri State University campus and is a state-of-the-art facility. The performing arts center provides concerts, musicals, plays, and educational programs for students, teachers, and the Springfield community at large.

The Animal Paradise and Family Fun Park is a park where wild animals such as buffalo, zebra, and camels run free. Visitors ride in their cars and observe animals from around the world up close.

Southern Hills has neighborhood pubs and lounges, and Springfield has quite a variety of spots at which to enjoy the city’s nightlife.
