Elkhorn Neighborhood

No matter what direction a resident of Elkhorn looks toward, the mountains are a part of the view. The mountains, palm trees, and well-maintained landscaping make the neighborhood a pleasant place to live.

Floyd Lamb State Park is a close neighbor to Elkhorn. The park is beautiful with green grass lawns, cottonwood trees throughout the park, and four stocked ponds. Other features in the park are scenic walking and bicycling paths that wind through the park, covered picnic shelters with picnic tables and grills, volleyball and horseshoe facilities, and fishing. Tule Springs Ranch is also a part of the park, and the ranch has a distinctly historic past. Fossil remains of bison, horses, camels, giant sloths, and other animals have been found on the ranch.

The State Park and Elkhorn are approximately twenty minutes from the famous Las Vegas Strip. People travel from all parts of the world to enjoy the fabulous live entertainment, fascinating sites, exciting gambling, and delicious food on the Las Vegas Strip. Elkhorn residents can enjoy these amusements anytime they please.

The Sante Fe Station Hotel and Casino is the Elkhorn neighborhood’s casino and provides the community with the Chrome Showroom, Century Theatre, a bowling center, bars and lounges, Kid’s Quest, various restaurants, and exciting gambling. There is no shortage of entertainment here.

The Northwest Career and Technical Academy and the University of Phoenix-Northwest Learning Center are within the Elkhorn community for the higher education needs of area residents and others.

The pleasant living quarters in the Elkhorn community are in high demand due to the neighborhood’s scenic views, pedestrian-friendly sidewalks, well-maintained properties, and proximity to the State Park and the Las Vegas Strip.
