Washoe County is home to several beautiful parks that range from desert outcroppings to soaring mountain peaks.

With a wild and tumultuous past, Washoe County has many unique locations waiting for modern-day explorers. The Historic Verdi Schoolhouse is a historic landmark across from the Verdi School Park, while Rancho San Rafael Regional Park offers 600 acres to explore. It is also home to the Wilbur D. Reno, the seat of Washoe County, is a small city with big entertainment value. Casinos line the tourist-filled streets, and neon lights dazzle in the night sky. Not far from Lake Tahoe, Reno residents and visitors enjoy the plethora of ski resorts in the region.
