During a total renovation in 2004-2005 the following steps were taken to improve health, safety, comfort and convenience. All water pipes with lead solder which were not banned until 1986 and typically contained 50% lead, were removed, and replaced with modern piping with lead free solder joints leaving healthier lead-free water. All old wiring removed and replaced with updated wiring and circuitry thereby reducing fire risk. Updated HVAC system with individual tenant-controlled air-conditioning and heating units with programmable thermostats, upgradable filtration installed in each apartment for maximum comfort and healthier air.
