During a total renovation in 2004-2005 the following steps were taken to improve health, safety, comfort and convenience. All water pipes with lead solder which were not banned until 1986 and typically contained 50% lead, were removed, and replaced with modern piping with lead free solder joints leaving healthier lead-free water. All old wiring removed and replaced with updated wiring and circuitry thereby reducing fire risk. Updated HVAC system with individual tenant-controlled air-conditioning and heating units with programmable thermostats, upgradable filtration installed in each apartment for maximum comfort and healthier air. Each apartment has an intercom with two-way talk and front door lock release for maximum safety and convenience. The unit features new stainless-steel appliances, pro style range, granite countertops, new floors and carpet. The building's front windows face Glenfield Park, which sits on 20-acres of tree filled land. The landscaped grounds include an upgraded cushioned playground, walking trails, tennis courts, picnic area, softball/baseball diamond, basketball court, field hockey and a newly constructed community center. Each unit has its own individual Central air conditioning and heating unit. The individually filtered units can be fitted with higher filtration filters upon request. There is high speed Verizon Fios internet, fire alarm system with an upgraded fire monitoring system with a direct link to the Fire Department, which is two blocks away, 24 hr. security cameras, front door-controlled intercom access with two-way talk for safety and lastly laundry facilities with assigned washer and dryer on site. Each unit has a porch deck off the back and there is a small courtyard which is shared. The building is certified lead paint free. Parking on the street provided by the township via permits.
