During a total renovation in 2004-2005 the following steps were taken to improve health, safety, comfort and convenience. All water pipes with lead solder which were not banned until 1986 and typically contained 50% lead, were removed, and replaced with modern piping with lead free solder joints leaving healthier lead-free water.
