Pennington, NJ Apartments for Rent

The area that is now Hopewell Township began as part of Burlington County – a county that dates back to 1681. In 1755, it became Hopewell Township by Royal Charter. In 1798, it was officially incorporated by the New Jersey Legislature. In 1838, the area became part of the newly-formed Mercer County. Finally, in 1890, a portion of the township became Pennington. Today, the borough of Pennington is still surrounded by Hopewell Township.

Today, Pennington is a fantastic community with a lively, picture-perfect downtown. Rent an apartment in Pennington and enjoy coffee shops, locally-owned restaurants, and unique stores. Shop at the Pennington Farmer’s Market, an open-air seasonal market offering organic produce, honey, local wine, grass-fed beef, free-range eggs, baked goods, and even alpaca wool. In addition to shopping, visitors to the market enjoy live music and special events.

Pennington Day is an annual street fair that includes live music, booths set up by local businesses and organizations, and a parade. With a strong sense of community and gorgeous architecture – some buildings dating back to the 18th century – Pennington is a great place to call home. It is just nine miles northwest of downtown Trenton and 14 miles north of Levittown, Pennsylvania. A New Jersey Transit bus stop is located in downtown Pennington for commuters.
