Hi There! This two-bed/one-bath apartment has been completely restored and features updated amenities. In my five-day tour of Colorado to select furniture for the unit, I visited more than 20 vintage stores and had fun selecting pieces that have the look and feel of mid-century America! The kitchen and bathroom are completely updated with new appliances, and the bathroom has a new tub, toilet, sink, and vanity. The living room is furnished with a new couch, mid-century credenza, and lamps. The bedrooms have hotel-style mattresses and again, mid-century dressers, nightstands, and lamps. You will have access to my Hulu and Amazon Prime subscriptions on the brand-new LG 50” TV. A full-size stacked washer and dryer unit is in the kitchen. Finally, included is monthly housekeeping service! The building and the entire block are quiet and secure, with an automated gate leading to the backyard and parking area, a coded entry gate to the courtyard, and coded front and back doors. The backyard area is inhabited by a 60-year-old mulberry tree and beginning in spring of 2023, I will be filling in the yard with native plants and flowers and adding outdoor furniture to make it an even more inviting space. Conveniently located in the center of town and one block from Historic Route 66, you can be on the freeway or Uptown ABQ in five minutes and Downtown in just ten. I am the building owner and live in the building directly behind this property. Because of this, all residents have 24/7 support. Having lived in this neighborhood for 12 years, I have worked hard to improve and add character to my properties and to attract great tenants. In fact, those in my original building have been with me for three to five years, respectively, and previous travelers staying at my other property have given me great reviews, with all of them re-upping more than once. In full transparency, the property is located in one of ABQ’s neighborhoods-in-transition, with an array of houses in various stages of repair. You will see differences in restoration from block to block, with ours being one of the most updated. The City of ABQ is in the initial stages of revitalizing Central Avenue (Old Route 66) from Downtown eastward toward the mountain, planting trees and installing medians. A new library has been built a block away. Nearly all the residents in the two-block radius of this property have made their home here for a long time. There are, on occasion, shelter-insecure people passing through, but they are not aggressive. One reason we like this neighborhood is its diversity: It is home to people occupying various economic strata and who represent a variety of races, ethnicities, and gender identities. All are welcome here. Please feel free to call me if you have any questions, or text me for a Facetime walk-through. I look forward to the opportunity to get to know you and make your stay in ABQ pleasant and comfortable! Wendy, owner of a friendly Border Collie mix named Poppy.
