Bergen, NY Condos for Rent

Roughly 20 miles west of downtown Rochester, the town of Bergen is a small, rural gem near enough to the metro area for an easy commute for work or play. Bergen was settled in 1801 and is the smallest town in Genesee County. A village by the same name is located within the town of Bergen. The Village of Bergen is a National Historic District and a beautiful area defined by wide, pedestrian-friendly sidewalks, period lighting, and historical architecture.

The Bergen Swamp, a wildlife sanctuary, is home to several endangered birds, reptiles, and flowers. Covering three miles of forested wetlands, the swamp was created about 125,000 years ago when glaciers retreated from the state.

Nearby Churchville County Park is a popular destination for those renting apartments in Bergen. The park includes ball fields, tennis courts, a golf course, a natural ice skating rink, a disc golf course, a playground, picnic areas, lodges and shelters, and a boat launch. Activities include baseball, softball, soccer, geo-caching, fishing, kayaking, and canoeing. Winter activities include ice skating and limited snowmobiling.

Find your Bergen apartment to rent in this quaint, pastoral community’s unique neighborhoods, such as Sheepskin Corners, Jerico Corners, Little Boston, and Stone Church. You’ll feel as though you’ve stepped back into a simpler time, but the shops, restaurants, museums, and theaters of downtown Rochester are just a short drive away.
