It is surrounded by Delaware Park to the west, North Buffalo to the north, Central Park to the northeast, Hamlin Park to the south, and Filmore-Leroy and Kensington to the southeast.

High schools in the area include Bennett and Burgard Vocational. It should be pointed out that there are also numerous Catholic and private schools in the area, with St. Marks being notable.
