Clarence, NY Townhouses for Rent

Established in 1808, Clarence is Erie County’s oldest town. A suburb of Buffalo, it has light industrial and agricultural industries of its own. It is situated between Amherst to the west and Lancaster to the south.

Clarence is rich with history. The first grist mill and tavern in western New York were built here in 1807. Stone walls from old farms still dot the town, some dating to the early 1800s. The Clarence Historical Museum features a log cabin built in 1815. There are also numerous historical houses in the town.

Clarence is developing an 18-acre arboretum north of the town hall. It will include 57 varieties of native trees, in addition to ponds, bridges, benches, and a gazebo. The Museum of European Art includes the Sculpture Garden of Alexander the Great, a unique and growing project.

As a small town northeast of Buffalo, Clarence residents have access to many great locations. Renting apartments here will put you in the middle of it all.
