Hilton, NY Houses for Rent

Three miles south of Lake Ontario and twelve miles northwest of Rochester sits the village of Hilton, New York. Located in Monroe County, the community was named for the Rev. Charles A. Hilton, a former pastor of the village’s Freewill Baptist Church. This idyllic small town setting offers plenty of laid back living and several Hilton apartments for rent.

Hilton is probably most known for its 20-acre corn maze, one of the largest in the country. Run by Zarpentine Farms, the maze draws thousands of guests from September to October every year. Many New York residents also flock to the local Apple Festival and Fireman’s Carnival every year.

A quick 15-minute ride to Rochester provides residents with the amenities and entertainment options of a bigger city. Besides great restaurants, numerous shopping malls, minor-league sporting events and first-rate museums, the city of Rochester is also lined with charming neighborhoods, historic canal towns and majestic waterfalls right in the middle of the city. It’s easy to find apartments for rent in Hilton close to some of these more attractive parts of town.

Living in Hilton also puts any resident within commuting distance to some of the area’s top-rated state and regional schools, such as the University of Rochester, Rochester Institute of Technology, Monroe Community College and Roberts Wesleyan College. Students looking to commute to these schools can find plenty of Hilton apartments for rent.
