Lyncourt Neighborhood

Located in between the Governor Thomas E. Dewey Thruway and Highway 690, the Lyncourt neighborhood provides its residents with easy access to all parts of the city for shopping, leisure, and work. Large streets with manicured lawns characterize this neighborhood and give it a homey ambiance. The Syracuse Hancock International Airport is very close offering a convenient travel option close to home.

Lyncourt School, serving students from grades pre-school to eighth grade, is located in the middle of the neighborhood. Children can attend school with their friends from the street on which they live. There is a playground in front of the school where parents can bring their children after school and on weekends.

Numerous dining venues make it possible for families to dine out when they feel like it and, best of all, they can get their exercise by walking to their destinations. Schiller Park is only a few streets south of the neighborhood and features a swimming pool for fun and frolic in the hot months of the summer. This park also has baseball and softball fields, six tennis courts, a basketball court, and two handball courts. The playground is quite large and has a wide assortment of equipment.

Sports enthusiasts who reside in the Lyncourt neighborhood can indulge in their passion at the sports complex located at Hopkins Road Park. There are fenced softball and baseball fields, and local leagues form during the fall and play throughout the year.

Post-secondary students have an opportunity to remain at home and continue their studies at the University of Syracuse or LeMoyne College, both of which are in the general area.
