Westside Neighborhood

The Westside neighborhood is a diverse community with a mix of residential, industrial, and business areas. It is an affordable, sparsely-populated neighborhood near Onondaga Lake. Residents can enjoy Onondaga Lake Park, a large park with paved trails, picnic areas, the Salt Museum, boat launch areas, and a skate park.

Westside is just west of downtown Syracuse and its attractions, including the Museum of Science and Technology, the Landmark Theatre, the Erie Canal Museum, and the Everson Museum of Art. The Westside is about six minutes west of Syracuse University and roughly one mile north of Burnet Park, the largest park in Syracuse and home to the Rosamond Gifford Zoo.
