Elmwood North Neighborhood

The Elmwood North neighborhood of Buffalo, New York, is rectangular in shape. The northern edge of the neighborhood is Waverly Avenue between Military Road and Delaware Avenue, which mark the western and eastern boundaries, respectively. The southern edge lies along Sheridan Drive. All the streets run east and west linking with the streets on the east and west. Elmwood Avenue runs through the center of the area. In addition, the Youngman Memorial Highway is only a short drive up Military Road. With all these entrance and exit points, this neighborhood is one that is quite accessible.

Sheridan Park is a short distance west of Elmwood North. This venue offers a wealth of activities for all ages and for all seasons of the year. Tee off on the golf course, cycle, walk or jog on one of the many trails, or enjoy camping, backpacking or rock climbing. This is the ultimate outdoor venue in the center of a city.

There is no shortage of restaurants and places to have a coffee on the outer limits of the Elmwood North neighborhood. Delaware Drive has many eating venues as does the southern end of Military Road.

Buffalo is a city of sporting events. There are several large fields within close proximity to the neighborhood where local teams play soccer and baseball, and the younger of the area residents can start practicing to hone their skills in these sports.
