Grace Neighborhood

The Grace neighborhood is located in northern Asheville, North Carolina, approximately two miles directly north of the downtown area. This community is roughly bound by Osbourne Road and Beaverdam Road on the north, Kimberly Avenue and Kimberly Knoll Road on the east, Edgewood Road and Fenner Avenue on the south, and Horizon Hill Road and Mt. Vernon Place on the west. The ZIP code for this Buncombe County community is 28804.

Conveniently located, the Grace neighborhood is largely residential and made up mostly of single-family homes. Like much of North Carolina, this neighborhood is quite heavily wooded and residents enjoy the privacy of many shade trees. Most of the neighborhood’s commercial offerings can be found along Merrimon Avenue/U.S. Highway 25, which traverses the middle of the neighborhood from north to south.

A variety of attractions and amenities can be found within a short drive of the Grace neighborhood. For local shopping, the Northland Shopping Center is located just outside of neighborhood boundaries on the north.

Golfers enjoy close proximity to the Beaver Lake Golf Course, situated less than one mile north, overlooking scenic Beaver Lake. With a membership fee, the Grove Park Country Club is situated just outside of Grace community bounds to the southeast, along Country Club Road. This prestigious private club offers a challenging 18-hole golf course, traditional country club amenities, and a popular resort and spa.

For other forms of outdoor recreation, residents of Grace head just a few minutes south to Weaver Park or Mullen Park. The latter is adjacent to the University of North Carolina-Asheville campus, which constitutes one of the city’s most prominent higher education options. Close proximity to the campus makes Grace a potentially ideal neighborhood for college students, university faculty, or anyone who would enjoy a college town atmosphere.
