Chapel Hill, NC Apartments for Rent

Chapel Hill, North Carolina is a college town. The University of North Carolina is housed here. An ACC school, they have a competitive men’s basketball program — they are the 2009 ACC National Champions! UNC has a long line of basketball heroes — Michael Jordan played ball here, and the legendary Dean Smith coached at UNC for 36 years.

Chapel Hill, one of the “points” in the Triangle, is a very liberal area with a vibrant, young population. Music is big — local clubs and bars host live music regularly. James Taylor started out in Chapel Hill, and a bridge in town is named after him. Nightlife also includes comedy — every February, neighboring Carrboro hosts the NC Comedy Festival, which includes several stand-up comics and hilarious improv.

With great weather year-round, Chapel Hill experiences all four seasons but enjoys a mild winter and long summer. Residents take advantage of the temperate climate by walking, riding bikes, and enjoying outdoor cafes. Franklin Street draws tourists and locals alike with great shopping, dining, and “Tarheel” apparel. Other attractions include Morehead Planetarium, Kenan Stadium, Cats Cradle, and more.

In nearby Durham, catch a Durham Bulls game — this AAA Baseball team is a local favorite. The Carolina Hurricanes, an NHJ team, plays in nearby Raleigh. Enjoy the great economy, buzzing downtown, and endless entertainment in Chapel Hill.
