Boulevard Homes Neighborhood

Boulevard Homes lies in the west sector of Charlotte, at the Mecklenburg county limits within the 28208 zip code. The neighborhood is situated equidistantly from three interstates, I-485, I-85 and I-77. Boulevard Homes is contained on the north by Highway 74/29, a major thoroughfare that travels east into the heart of Charlotte. The Charlotte Area Transit System services the neighborhood. The Charlotte Douglas International Airport is just west of Boulevard Homes.

Boulevard Homes residents enjoy a few businesses within the neighborhood. The Boys and Girls Club of Greater Charlotte is located on the west side of the neighborhood. The northeast corner of Boulevard Homes boasts the Southview Recreation Center. The center offers residents an extensive list of amenities including a fitness center, indoor playroom, game room, gymnasium and rooms that can be rented for events.

Several parks surround the community of Boulevard Homes. The nearest are Wingate Neighborhood Park and Reid Neighborhood Park. At Wingate Neighborhood Park, visitors enjoy walking trails, two playgrounds, volleyball and basketball courts. Irwin Greenway is also nearby and is a beautiful lush greenway with over 5 miles of paved trails.

Boulevard Homes is in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg county school system. Park Reid Elementary, Herbert Spaugh Middle School and Harding University High School are the nearest to the neighborhood. Higher educational institutes nearby include ECPI College of Technology, the Art Institute of Charlotte and ITT Technical Institute, all within 2 miles of Boulevard Homes.
