Oakview Terrace Neighborhood

Oakview Terrace, in the northwest sector of Charlotte, is an established residential neighborhood full of new and renovated homes. Residents enjoy large yards. Oakview Terrace is almost entirely residential aside from a few beautiful churches.

Many residents travel the 3 miles into the heart of downtown Charlotte for work, shopping and entertainment. The Mecklenburg County neighborhood is included in the 28216 zip code. Downtown Charlotte is accessible by way of state route 16, which borders the west side of Oakview Terrace. I-85 borders the neighborhood on the north.

Oakview Terrace is in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg school district. The nearest public schools to the neighborhood are University Park Creative Arts Elementary School, Williams John T. Middle School and West Charlotte High School. Residents of Oakview Terrace enjoy several noted higher educational institutions conveniently located just south of the neighborhood. Arguably the most prestigious culinary school in America, Johnson and Wales University, has one of their four nationwide campuses in Charlotte. Johnson C. Smith University and the Charlotte School of Law are also located just south of Oakview Terrace.

Enderly Park, a 10-acre park within walking distance, boasts several ball fields and courts as well as a playground. One of Charlotte’s beautiful greenways, Stewart Creek Greenway, is just minutes south of Oakview Terrace. The magnificent paved greenways are favorite outdoor locales for hikers and bikers.
