Wesley Heights Neighborhood

The up-and-coming neighborhood of Wesley Heights is located about a mile northwest of downtown Charlotte, North Carolina. This historic neighborhood contains a rich collection of Craftsman bungalows, Colonial Revival, and Tudor Revival style homes. It is located on the west side of I-77, south of West 4th Street. Wesley Heights residents enjoy beautiful views of the downtown Charlotte skyline.

Wesley Heights is south of Johnson C. Smith University and west of Charlotte’s Third Ward. The Wesley Heights Neighborhood Association is an active group working toward beautification, restoration, and projects such as bringing the street car line into Wesley Heights. The Historic West End Market, featuring local artists, live music, antiques, entertainment, farm-fresh produce, homemade baked goods, and more is held in Wesley Heights along West Trade Street, just south of Johnson C. Smith University. It is open on Saturdays May through October.
