Yorkshire Neighborhood

Yorkshire, part of the Steele Creek community in south Charlotte, North Carolina, is a friendly community of over 700 homes. A park-like setting with tall trees and a 20-acre common area complete with a pool, tennis courts, a volleyball court, a playground, and a pavilion encourages residents to get out and enjoy their neighborhood. This fast-growing community is conveniently located, about 10 miles southwest of downtown Charlotte and just eight miles south of Charlotte-Douglas International Airport.

Steele Creek was founded in the mid-1700s and is a quaint neighborhood with community biking and hiking trails. Yorkshire has two miles of hiking and biking paths, as well. Nearby Lake Wylie and the McDowell Nature Preserve offer camping, seven miles of hiking trails, Copperhead Island (a popular boating and fishing location), a playground, and picnic areas. The large amusement and water park, Carowinds, borders Yorkshire to the east.
