Woodcroft Neighborhood

Located to the east of Chapel Hill and the Horace Williams Airport, residents of Woodcroft have a short drive to Interstate 40 and area golf and country clubs. Two golf courses less than a 20-minute drive from Woodcroft are the 18-hole, member’s only Croasdaile Country Club with tennis, swimming, and dining, and the 9-hole public Hillandale Golf Course.

Two shopping locations near the neighborhood are Woodcroft Shopping Center, which is within walking distance of the neighborhood, and The Streets at Southpoint Mall anchored by Nordstrom, Macy’s, JC Penney, Belk, and Sears.

Streets at Southpoint Mall provide residents with convenience and a variety of shopping venues, dining options, and movie theater located less than two miles from the Woodcroft neighborhood.

Raleigh Flea Market provides residents a family-fun outing featuring more than 600 vendors. The market is located at the historical Raleigh State Fairgrounds since 1971.

For outdoor recreational activities, Eno River State Park is a 30-minute drive from the neighborhood. The wilderness trails of the park provide visitor’s with miles of walking or jogging trails through serene surroundings with views of the Eno River, historical mill sites, and a variety of plants, shrubs, and native birds and wildlife.

Museums near Woodcroft include the Museum of Life and Science, Patterson’s Mill Country Store, Bennett Place Historic Site, Duke Homestead Historic Site, and the Louis Round Wilson Special Collections Library.

TK’s Jungle provides children with a fun-filled inflatable amusement park with assorted games and activities. The New Hope Valley Railway, established in 1904, has scheduled scenic train rides.

The Woodcroft neighborhood is bordered by West Woodcroft Parkway to the north, Fayetteville Road to the east, Highway 54 to the south and Hope Valley Road to the west.
