Amtrak and Greyhound have terminals located in Fayetteville.
For more than half a century, Fort Bragg has been known as the home of the nation’s finest fighting forces. It is minutes north of Westover by automobile. Activities are available for military and civilian families. The 82nd Airborne Division War Memorial Museum has exhibits from World War I to the present, including an airpark displaying seven examples of airplanes.
Smith Lake has trails for hiking and biking. Other activities include camping, swimming, and paintball. The Throckmorton Library has a reading and spelling program for children.
