Arlington Park Neighborhood

Arlington Park is a historic neighborhood in Greensboro. In the first 30 years of the 20th century, it was considered a very sought-after neighborhood. It is in the midst of revitalization to regain that prestige.

Some of the homes in the neighborhood are relatively small ranch-style residences that date from the 1950s and 1960s, while others are historic homes undergoing renovation.

The boundaries of the Arlington Park neighborhood are Andrew Street to the north, Martin Luther King Jr. Drive to the east, Florida Street to the south, and Arlington and Vance Streets to the west. The children in the community attend Gillespie Park Elementary School, Kiser Middle School, and Grimsley High School. The ZIP code for the Arlington Park community is 27406.

The Gillespie Golf Course is owned by the City of Greensboro. What was opened in 1941 as a nine-hole golf course has been updated with additional tees so that it can be played as 18 holes. There are a restaurant and pro shop at the golf course. Gillespie Park is adjacent to the Arlington Park neighborhood.

There are two grocery stores that are located within an easy drive south of the neighborhood, a Food Lion and a Save-A-Lot. Both of them are on West Meadowview Road.
