Green Valley Neighborhood

Green Valley in Greensboro lives up to its name. The community is tucked into lush forestland in the suburban, northwestern part of the city. A short drive to downtown Greensboro, this neighborhood is a quiet escape from bustling life in the city yet offers its residents access to urban amenities, including Greensboro’s major health centers.

Joseph M. Bryan Parkway makes up the slanted, eastern border of the Green Valley area. This major street branches off at Fairway Drive to create the southern border, which curves north, reaching Pebble Drive to form the western border. To the north, Hobbs Road and North Holden Road complete the borders of this large area. The neighborhood is located within the 27408 ZIP code.

Green Valley is close to the Tanger Family Bicentennial Garden, located to the southwest of the community. It is a botanical garden constructed to celebrate the bicentennial anniversary of the United States. Next to it lies the Bog Garden, which acts as a nature preserve, which features a wooden boardwalk over wetlands with some of Greensboro’s native flora.

There are several health and wellness centers near Green Valley, including the Women’s Hospital Greensboro, Moses Cone Behavioral Center, and Wesley Long Behavioral Hospital. These centers provide access to necessary preventive health care and treatment options for women, behavioral disorders, and mental illnesses, respectively.

For Green Valley residents needing to shop, the Caldwell Shopping Center and Summit Shopping Center are both about a 10-minute drive to the north and to the east, respectively.
