Smith Homes Neighborhood

Smith Homes, in the southeast section of Greensboro, North Carolina, is an urban neighborhood situated among several small airfields. Smith Homes is an older community. Most of the homes in the area were built between 1950 and 1980.

Smith Homes hosts a vibrant community. Several churches of different denominations attract large crowds. Local parks are vibrant with large trees, expansive grassy areas, and welcoming attributes.

Local entertainment includes water theme parks, grand prix racing and ice skating rinks. Hagan Stone Park, a few miles south of Smith Homes, has over 400 acres of land, some dedicated to year round camping. Lots of trails are available for hiking, biking, and exploring. Nature lovers can learn about the Piedmont wilderness through the many education programs and events offered at Hagan Stone Park.

Hagan Stone Park accommodates picnicking and sporting events. Grills and sheltered tables are available near ball fields, horseshoe pits and volleyball courts. An eighteenth-century refurbished school house is reminiscent of the past, while four mid-sized lakes entice fishing and water sports.

Smith Homes is west of Raleigh, North Carolina and east of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Quick access to a number of main roads, highways and interstate freeways make it easy to get to various North Carolina attractions, whether it be NASCAR racing in Kannapolis or camping near Asheville.
